Brindisa Spanish Foods Predicts Growth in the North with New Hires | New

Specialized wholesaler Brindisa Spanish Foods will expand to Scotland and the north of England following the appointment of two regional managers.

The newly created positions are part of the company’s strategy to seek out what it describes as ‘the big opportunities’ that exist outside the south of England, which has been its traditional territory for 30 years.

Gayle Swan has been appointed Regional Director for Scotland. The former Brakes employee worked for an independent coffee shop in Glasgow with a reputation for bringing products from Italian food supplier Carluccio’s to the Scottish market.

Joe Whittick will expand the company’s presence and better meet the needs of existing and potential customers in the North of England. The newly appointed Regional Account Manager brings first-hand experience working in the independent charcuterie industry, having founded his own charcuterie, which now has four locations in Cheshire.

“I am delighted to have the opportunity to develop my career with such a great company,” said Whittick. “Brindisa is already a fairly recognized name in the north, although it is not yet widely available.

“I know from my relationship with Brindisa, as a deli owner, that there is an appetite in the retail and restaurant sectors for more diverse and upscale offerings that tap into trends. consumption and I hope that my role in the company will allow more operators to capitalize on the opportunity offered by Spanish products.
